Today, 20thJanuary, is Blue Monday.

Considered the most depressing day of the year, Blue Monday sees most of us with a way to go until payday, the festive highs are now winter lows, the weather is shocking and all over the country people are fed up. Not to mention, it’s a Monday!

So let’s turn it on its head. This Blue Monday let’s think of all the amazing things that are blue...

... the clear ocean, a cloudless sky, bluebells swaying in the wind, delicate butterflies, a juicy blueberry.

Mondays don’t need to be depressing – whether that’s business or pleasure. They are the start of a new week. New goals. New achievements. Make your Monday marvellous!

When it comes to business, why not kick start your week with the right finance. A cash injection can see you secure better terms with suppliers, seize expansion opportunities or help you manage an unexpected bill. Alternative finance, such as invoice finance, can take away the pressures of late paying customers by advancing monies from issued invoices; and tailored asset finance options can see you increase your technology and machinery without huge up front expenditure. All of this is possible with the right finance.

As an independent broker, for over 27 years, Capital Corporate Finance has access to the whole of the UK lending and alternative finance market.

We advise you on the best finance option for your business; and without being tied to any lenders or contracts we have your best interests at heart. In a short call we can assess your needs, offer instant indicative quotes and secure real offers from genuine lenders without any fear of refusal and no worries of it affecting your credit score. On a serious note however, many of our friends and family, colleagues and peers, will be depressed today. Depressed, anxious, stressed not just on today’s Blue Monday but every Monday; in fact, every day of the week.

Mental health is on the rise; with many suffering in silence. Thankfully, society is changing its attitudes and the condition is sympathised with and help generously on offer.

This Blue Monday, well, every day really, take a moment to look around you. Is anyone not seeming themselves? Have you asked how someone is, how they really are, not just a flippant ‘alright?’ without any care of their reply.

Perhaps yourself, as you read this, are feeling blue, feeling low. Seek help. Don’t be proud. Don’t hide. It’s good to talk.

This February, 6th, it’s Time to Talk Day. Please do – there’s nothing like a ‘good ol’ chin wag’ to brighten someone’s day.
